Integrative Computational Network Biology Lab @ MBZUAI

Noel Malod-Dognin is a Research Scientist in the Integrative Computational Network Biology Lab at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI). He is a leading expert in network biology, specializing in the modeling, integration, and analysis of large medical and biological networks using explainable AI for precision medicine.

Dr. Malod-Dognin has made significant contributions to computational biology, including pioneering work on protein structure comparison, network alignment algorithms, and multi-omics data integration. His research has been published in high-impact journals including Science and Nature Communications. He has published 44 peer-reviewed journal articles and 13 conference papers, with over 3,400 citations and an h-index of 22.

Before joining MBZUAI, Dr. Malod-Dognin held research positions at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (2019-2025), University College London (2016-2022), and Imperial College London (2012-2016). He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science with high honors from Rennes 1 University, France in 2010. Dr. Malod-Dognin is an active member of the computational biology community, serving on the organizing committee for the Network Biology (NetBio) special interest group at the ISMB conference and reviewing for major journals including Nature Communications, Scientific Reports, and Bioinformatics.
